One night, when Karen Andersson's brother-in-law and his two dogs were peacefully sleeping at home, a catastrophic event was starting to occur only a few feet from their bed.
Fortunately, the disaster was averted thanks to a devoted and loving gesture of one of those dogs, a puppy named Olivia.
Andersson, who wrote about the incident online, said that the bedroom fire was caused by a shorted electrical circuit. Her brother-in-law was sound asleep and completely unconscious of the dangerous peril that was developing as the flames increased.
“Even with all the black smoke, he didn’t notice. He wouldn’t wake up, but Olivia noticed,” Andersson wrote.
“She barked and licked [my brother-in-law’s] face until he woke up,” Andersson wrote. “She saved the lives of everyone in the house.”

The extent of the fire's destruction on their house is unknown, but the most important thing was that everyone managed to escape alive thanks to Olivia's bravery.
Andersson and her family are extremely grateful for that:
“Olivia is really amazing,” Andersson said. “She’s the best girl.”
